The Autonomous Territorial Government of the Wampis Nation (GTANW) manages 1,327,760 hectares of rainforest in an autonomous and coordinated way. This form of territorial governance guarantees the effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of these forests’ climate functions, which capture approximately 57 million tonnes of CO2 a year.
